the MD5 encoder generates a Message Digest 5 hashsum online. It will not store your inserted string. MD5 hashes are 128bit cryptographic values based on an algorithm by Ronald L. Rivest. MD5 hashsums are widely used to store semi-"encrypted" passwords into databases and such.
